The Moxy Berlin Airport opened in October 2022 as a chic, funky, and stylish airport hotel. It's located around 5 km from the airport terminals with a shuttle service connecting the hotel to the airport daily every 30 minutes from 3:30 AM to 12:30 AM. It's not free but very affordable anyhow. Make sure to request the service after booking a room. Alternatively, the 743 bus offers a short ride to the airport terminals and taxis are readily available.

The hotel's location is a bit in the middle of nowhere, with just 1 other restaurant outside the hotel. The buffet breakfast is awesome but the on-site restaurant does not offer a lot of choice, making the hotel convenient enough for a layover but a bit inconvenient for longer stays, unless you have your own transport.

The rooms are designed in the typical Moxy style - modern and elegant. All rooms have amazing bed linens, plenty of space, walk-in showers, and typical items like a work desk and a TV. The lack of a kettle in the room is a bit surprising.

The hotel's lobby is also their so-called "social hub" with seats for relaxing or work. There you can find the 24-hour bar. The welcome drink is an unexpected touch that may make you fall in love with the hotel from the get-go.

The hotel also offers a fairly well-equipped gym.

All in all, Moxy Berlin Airport is a fantastic choice for a layover hotel near Berlin airport with its unique design and service. However, its location is a bit so-so and if you want to be near the action or well-connected to the city, the hotel is not the best choice.
